Mahindra unveiled the Vision.T concept in August 2025 under its Freedom_NU / NU_IQ platform roadmap, as part of its Vision 2027 plans. This SUV is meant to sit below or around the Thar / Roxx size, offering both rugged looks and premium appeal.
Rugged & Retro-Inspired Design Language
The Vision.T draws heavily from Mahindra’s bold design cues. It has a boxy silhouette, high bonnet, squared wheel arches, and flat body panels. Details like exposed door hinges, chunky all-terrain tyres, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, and front bumper with tow hook accentuate its off-road ready looks. The front features a wide multi-slot grille, and there are vertical LED DRLs and square-shaped LED lighting units.

Inside, the Vision.T concept shows a modern cabin with free-standing digital instrument cluster, large portrait-orientation infotainment touchscreen, three-spoke steering wheel, and a minimalist layout with both digital and physical controls. The wheelbase is said to be about 2,665 mm, promising spacious interiors with better legroom.
Off-road Capability & Geometry
While official performance specs are not fully out, the Vision.T claims serious offroad geometry: approach, departure, and breakover angles are emphasized, chunky tyres, ground clearance, and robust suspension setup seem part of the plan. The design also talks of roof racks, tow hooks, etc.

Some things are still unclear: exact power & range figures for the EV version, final ground clearance numbers, variant pricing, safety ratings, and how feature-rich the base model will be. These details will come closer to production.
